FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

FAQ's

What training will the carer receive?

Rest assured that our carers receive excellent care training(s). Also, our carers are well experienced, they all have the Care Certificates and some trained at NVQ level 2 and 3. All the careers are vetted (DBS) and had full background check before having them in our system.

Can I give a customised care plan?

Absolutely! We offer a holistic care service tailored to your needs and preferences.

Can I meet the carer prior to arrival?

In some instances, we do arrange for you to meet with your carers! We carefully match the carer to suite your needs and care package.

Are the carers able to communicate?

All our carers are interviewed in English, we ensure they are able to communicate in English. They have also been assessed on their communication skills at interview and during the induction programme.

Can I use local authority funding?

Yes, a significant portion of our clients receive direct payments from their local authorities. The first step is to approach your local council for the evaluation of your care needs and once approved by your social worker, you can arrange a direct payment via your local authority.

How fast can a care plan be arranged?

Our standard period of arrangement is 48 hours in lieu of notification. However, we are flexible when it comes to arranging a care plan in a case of an emergency.

What facilities will the carer need?

For our live-in carers, it is imperative that a bedroom is provided for them, so they have a place to relax and lay their head when they are on break. It is also necessary that internet access is provided as they will be spending lots of their time with you. Also, provisions should be made for carers to eat (a different feeding facility is not needed).

Will I need any special equipment?

This is subject to your needs. An Occupation Health Therapist would have discussed your equipment requirements with you or conducted a home assessment. Rest assured that we have carers who are trained at handling equipment. All our carers are trained in moving and assisting clients.

How does live-in care works?

They pretty much live with you. They provide companionship, you will have the chance to choose your carers. They will help and support with personal care, food preparation, medication, support with hospital appointment, your favourite activities, and hobbies.

How long do I have to stay on the care package?

We offer both long-term and short-term services. You will need to give us 2 weeks’ notice to terminate your contract.

How can we keep your loved one safe?

Rest assured that we run a solid background check on our staff, so you don’t have to worry. Also, our carers are well trained to act promptly in cases of emergency. We are regulated by the Care Quality Commission. We have been recently inspected by them, and we are rated as good overall and, in all domains, safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-lead.

How are the carers approved?
